Privacy Policy

Think Twice provides in-person educational sessions that help people recognize fraud and scams and resist the manipulative tactics criminals use. Our sessions are arranged through trusted organizations in the United States, such as retirement communities and wealth and investment managers. This statement explains, in plain terms, the limited information we handle and the information we deliberately choose not to collect.

The short version

• We do not collect the names, email addresses, or financial information of people who attend our sessions.
• Survey responses are collected without your name and are used only in aggregate — that is, combined with others’ responses.
• We never sell information, and we never share participant information with third parties for their own use.

1. Scope of This Statement

This statement applies to information handled by Think Twice in connection with our in-person sessions and any voluntary surveys associated with them. We do not currently offer an online version of our curriculum. Organizations that host our sessions maintain their own privacy practices for their members, clients, or residents; those practices are governed by the host, not by this statement.

2. Information We Collect

From the organizations that host sessions

To schedule and coordinate a session, we collect business contact information for the staff member who arranges it — typically a name, work email address, and phone number. We use this only to organize and follow up on the event.

From session participants

We do not collect your name, email address, postal address, or any financial information in order to attend a session. If you choose to take part in a survey or in voluntary follow-up, you are identified only by a randomly assigned participant code (for example, “TT-4827”). We use that code — not your name — to connect responses over time. We do not maintain any list that links a participant code to a specific person’s identity.

From surveys

Survey responses are collected without your name or contact details. We analyze and report results only in aggregate. We do not attempt to single out or re-identify any individual respondent from survey data.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

• Names of session participants.
• Email addresses, phone numbers, or mailing addresses of participants.
• Financial account numbers, balances, or other financial information.
• Government identifiers, dates of birth, or similar sensitive identifiers.
• Photographs or recordings that identify participants, unless separately and clearly disclosed and agreed to at a specific event.

4. How We Use Information

• To schedule, deliver, and improve our in-person educational sessions.
• To measure, in aggregate, whether our sessions help people recognize and resist scams.
• To coordinate voluntary follow-up surveys through the host organization.

We do not use information to build individual profiles, to advertise, or to make decisions about any individual.

5. Surveys and Service Providers

We use a third-party survey tool (such as Google Forms or a comparable provider) to collect survey responses. The tool is configured so that it does not request your email address or account information. Like any online tool, it may automatically log limited technical data (for example, an IP address); we do not use such data to identify respondents, and we draw only aggregate results from the tool. Our service providers are permitted to process information solely to provide the survey service to us, and not for their own purposes.

6. Voluntary Follow-Up Research

To understand whether our sessions have a lasting effect, we may invite participants to complete a follow-up survey weeks or months later. Any such follow-up is voluntary and is arranged through the host organization, which manages its own relationship with its members, clients, or residents. When you respond, you are identified only by your participant code. You may decline to participate at any time, for any reason, without consequence.

7. How We Share Information

• We do not sell information of any kind.
• We do not share participant information with third parties for their own marketing or other purposes.
• We share information with service providers (such as our survey tool) only as needed to operate our program, and only on terms that limit their use to providing that service to us.
• We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of participants, the public, or Think Twice.

8. How Long We Keep Information

• Business contact information is kept for the duration of our working relationship with the host organization and a reasonable period afterward.
• Individual survey responses (identified only by participant code) are kept only as long as needed to compile aggregate results, after which they are deleted or retained in coded form for program evaluation.
• Aggregate, non-identifying results may be kept indefinitely to measure and report on the effectiveness of our work.

9. How We Protect Information

We limit the information we collect, restrict access to it, and use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the limited and largely non-identifying nature of the information we hold. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but minimizing what we collect is our first and strongest protection.

10. Your Choices

• Attending a session is voluntary.
• Completing any survey is voluntary, and you may skip any question.
• Participating in follow-up is voluntary, and you may decline at any time.

11. Changes to This Statement

We may update this statement from time to time. The effective date above indicates when the current version took effect. Material changes will be reflected in an updated version made available through our host organizations and at thinktwice.pro.
